Seamless, and why it matters more here
A seamless gutter comes off a machine on the truck as one continuous piece per wall. The only joints are at corners and end caps. Sectional gutters from the home center have a seam every 10 feet, and in a climate where the metal expands and contracts through a 40-degree swing between a June afternoon and a January morning, every one of those seams eventually opens. Sizing for 52 inches of rain
Most gutter installs go wrong at the sizing step. A standard 5-inch K-style gutter with 2x3 downspouts is a national default; it was not designed for a Jacksonville August. We measure roof area per downspout and use:

The crew shows up with the coil and the machine. Old gutters come down, fascia is checked and any soft boards replaced, each wall is measured and the run formed on site, corners sealed, downspouts strapped every 8 feet, extensions set, then a hose through everything. Most homes are done between 8 a.m. and mid-afternoon.
Most gutter replacements do not need a permit. When one is required, usually because the job is tied to roofing, fascia or soffit work or the city asks for it, it has to be pulled under a Florida contractor license. How long does gutter installation take in Jacksonville?
One day for most homes. We measure and quote on the first visit, the coil and color come in, and the crew forms and hangs everything on install day. A large two-story with a lot of corners occasionally needs a second morning, and we say so in advance rather than on the day.
Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
Six-inch on two-story homes, steep roofs and any run that collects a big roof area. Five-inch with 3x4 downspouts on most single-story homes. We calculate it from the roof rather than guessing, because undersizing is the reason so many Jacksonville gutters pour over the edge in a summer storm.
